“How did you know that? What if you were wrong?” asked an observer.
“Don’t think I can eat the big Moo Deng,” added another.
Moo Deng, which translates to “bloated pork”, was born in July 2024 at the Khao Kheow Open Zoo in Chonburi, Thailand, and since entering everyone’s lives, she has become adored by millions.
The pygmy hippo has inspired fans to create makeup looks, a wide range of merchandise and now, food.
In the controversial clip, Cullen cuts into the middle of the hippopotamus and pulls out a slice of a four-layer vanilla cake with chocolate cream.
“So cute, but so painful to watch it fall apart,” one person admitted.
“My smile was gone so fast,” sighed one Instagramer. “Stop the cake.”

“Send them these. I would buy 20,” commented one dessert lover.
“Looks amazing!” praised one user.

Meanwhile, a bakery in Thailand is facing sales situations for their amazing cakes.
Pastry chef Chalit Kulsaree, owner of Vetmon Cafe in Bangkok, started making the now-viral cake after a customer requested it, not realizing that the one-time job would lead to over a hundred pre-orders.
“We carved cakes every day until morning. But it has also made us hundreds of thousands of baht in just ten days,” she told Reuters.
The cafe handcrafts each cake, which is glazed in chocolate fondant with buttercream filling. Due to overwhelming demand, the cafe had to limit the number of orders.
Moo Deng’s moves have captured the hearts and appetites of millions who have had to watch her splash in the water, enjoy belly rubs from her goalie, bite her trainer on the leg and perform a walking rendition icon on the moon of the late Michael Jackson.
Although the famous creature’s global fame comes with love from all over, it also comes with a powerful fan base that knows no boundaries.
Tourists in Chonburi reportedly harassed Moo Deng by throwing things like shellfish at her, while others sprinkled the child with water to wake her up.
“These behaviors are not only cruel, but also dangerous,” zoo director Narongwit Chodchoi said in a statement posted online. “We need to protect these animals and make sure they have a safe and comfortable environment.”
