Are iPhone users small? You’d be surprised how many will not meet Android fans: survey

A recent survey revealed the drama brewing between Android and iPhone users.

The findings show that being an Android user can affect your dating life – as if we needed anything else to make it even more difficult.

About 22% of iPhone users admit to looking down on non-iMessage texters, and nearly 23% of iPhone users said that discovering a potential romantic interest is a green bubble sender on Android would be a total breakdown, according to researchers in All. About Cookies, which surveyed 1,000 anonymous participants this summer.

A whopping 31% of men are ready to swipe left on an Android user, while only 16% of women feel the same way.

But this is not news for all Android users; many have received the message.

According to the survey, 52% of Android users have been made fun of for their devices and 36% say they have been judged harshly.

And a fair share are green with envy. Some 26% even admitted to feeling embarrassed about their Android, with 30% considering switching to an iPhone just to stop the teasing.

Almost everyone who has a smartphone (99%) is either team Android or team iPhone and, despite the rivalry, both sides are trying to find a safe space.

About 42% of the participants have turned to third-party messaging apps like WhatsApp to appease all mobile users and chat with their friends without any judgement.

However, this may all be a thing of the past as Apple is set to release iOS 18. The update is expected to fix some of the cross-platform communication issues. No more blurry images or missing reading receipts.

The issue of Android discrimination has become so serious that the government is getting involved.

The Justice Department recently called out Apple for hitting Android smartphone users with creepy “green bubbles” in text messages — calling it a sign of “social stigma, exclusion and guilt” as part of its landmark case antitrust against the iPhone maker.
